Protect the final handoff.

We complete the journey from warehouse or terminal to commercial destination with right-sized equipment, careful coordination, and experienced drivers representing your supply chain at the point of delivery.

The shipment is not complete until the destination can receive it

Commercial final-mile delivery brings freight from a distribution point to the business, store, institution, facility, or job site where it is needed. It is often the most visible handoff in the transportation process—and one of the most dependent on accurate instructions.

We plan around the destination, not just the driving distance. That means reviewing delivery windows, site access, unloading needs, contact information, and documentation before the truck arrives.

Non-refrigerated freight sized for a 26-foot box truck

Common shipments include palletized goods, packaged inventory, commercial equipment, fixtures, supplies, building products, and properly prepared general freight. Each shipment must meet applicable size, weight, securement, access, and handling requirements.

Box Truck Team carries non-refrigerated general freight only. Temperature-sensitive shipments requiring active climate control are outside our service scope.

Prepared for the Destination

More than simply arriving at an address

Appointment Coordination

We incorporate confirmed receiving windows, on-site contacts, and check-in instructions into the delivery plan.

Liftgate Support

Hydraulic liftgates provide flexibility at approved destinations without a standard loading dock. Any required pallet jack, ground-level handling, or additional labor must be confirmed before dispatch.

Site-Specific Planning

Restricted entrances, tight loading areas, parking limitations, job-site conditions, and delivery-hour restrictions are reviewed in advance whenever the information is available.

Delivery Documentation

We complete the delivery with the documentation agreed for the shipment, which may include signed receiving records, bills of lading, photographs, or exception notes.

The BTT Standard

Professional at the point where it matters most

The driver at the destination is part of your customer's experience. Our team approaches commercial final mile with professional communication, careful handling, respect for facility procedures, and accountability when conditions differ from the plan.

Box Truck Team may be growing, but our drivers and operations professionals bring the experience needed to manage that final handoff with confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is commercial final-mile delivery?

Commercial final-mile delivery is the final transportation leg from a warehouse, terminal, distribution center, or cross-dock to a business destination. These destinations may include stores, offices, dealerships, commercial buildings, institutions, and active job sites.

Is commercial final mile the same as residential delivery?

No. Commercial final mile is designed around business destinations, receiving departments, scheduled delivery windows, loading areas, and site-specific procedures. Residential delivery involves different access, customer-contact, placement, and handling requirements.

What types of freight can be delivered?

Our box trucks can accommodate many forms of non-refrigerated general freight, including palletized products, retail inventory, fixtures, packaged equipment, building supplies, and commercial goods. Freight must fall within the applicable truck, weight, dimension, and handling limits.

Is a loading dock required?

Not necessarily. The appropriate delivery method depends on the freight and the receiving location. If a destination does not have a dock, tell us when requesting service so we can confirm whether liftgate service, a pallet jack, additional labor, or another arrangement is required and available.

Can you coordinate appointments and special receiving instructions?

Yes. We can work with scheduled delivery windows, receiving contacts, dock instructions, access restrictions, check-in procedures, and other site requirements supplied before dispatch. Complete instructions help reduce delays and unsuccessful delivery attempts.

Do you provide inside or white-glove delivery?

Inside delivery, placement, unpacking, assembly, and packaging removal are separate service levels that require advance planning and may not be available for every shipment. Tell us exactly where the freight must be placed so we can confirm the required labor, equipment, time, and pricing.

What happens if the receiving location is closed or cannot accept the freight?

Our team will attempt to contact the designated customer or receiving representative for instructions. Waiting time, redelivery, storage, or return transportation may result in additional charges, so accurate facility hours and contact information are important.

What proof is provided after delivery?

Available delivery documentation may include a signed proof of delivery, completed bill of lading, delivery photographs, arrival information, and notes concerning shipment condition or exceptions. Documentation requirements should be specified before the shipment is dispatched.
